Collaboration

Dr. Sotela maintains friendly professional relationships with other local veterinarians and regional referral practices. She is well respected amongst clients and professional colleagues. Historically, she has collaborated with biotech to investigate new treatments.

Dr. Sotela is an active member of the AAEP Performance Horse Committee. The committee proactively identifies and addresses issues of importance to equine veterinarians and horse show entities. It provides leadership and expertise on all aspects of the performance horse that affect the health and welfare of the horse and the integrity of the competition. The committee educates AAEP members and stakeholders on the best practices and ethical care of the performance horse.
